Tecserv UK Celebrates 25 Years of Growth, Innovation and Employee Ownership

As a leading East Midlands based fire and security specialist, Tecserv UK is proud to celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2026. This milestone marks a significant chapter in our company’s history, with a strong project pipeline and recent leadership changes positioning the business for continued long-term success.

Founded in January 2001, Tecserv UK has grown from a regional service provider into a national authority within the fire and security sector. We install and maintain critical systems for landmark buildings and prominent retail, hospitality, leisure, and commercial sites, including St Paul’s Cathedral, Harvey Nichols stores, M&S Foodhalls, The Bvlgari and Ritz Hotels, and numerous National Trust heritage properties.

A key factor in our sustained progress has been the establishment of an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), designed to secure the longevity of the brand, protect jobs, and enable employees to directly share in the business’s future prosperity. Following this transition, we implemented structural and senior management changes to support growth and strengthen operational leadership.

As part of these changes, Neil Berrisford became Chief Executive, with Colin Milligan appointed Chief Operating Officer and Catherine McHugh taking on the role of HR & Finance Director. They are supported by an experienced management team committed to upholding Tecserv UK’s reputation for technical expertise and outstanding customer service.

Reaching 25 years is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team and the trust placed in the company by our customers. Employee ownership has strengthened the company culture and given all employees a real stake in its success. Tecserv UK remains focused on building for the long term, expanding its capabilities, investing in its team, and continuing to provide dependable fire and security solutions to major brands.

Based in Underwood, Nottingham, Tecserv UK employs over 50 people, including a nationwide network of field-based service engineers who provide round-the-clock support, 365 days a year. A commitment to training and professional development ensures customers continue to benefit from skilled engineers and trusted advice across the full lifecycle of fire and security systems.

Looking ahead to the next 25 years, Tecserv UK intends to build on the momentum generated by employee ownership, strong market demand, and a robust project pipeline. Colin joined Tecserv UK Ltd in 2010. He has been in the fire and security industry for 30 years + and in that time has held a number of senior positions. His experience helps to bring focus and growth to our sales and marketing strategy by being objective driven and KPI measured.
