Stuart Milligan Promoted to Assistant Service Manager

Tecserv UK would like to congratulate Stuart Milligan on his promotion to assistant service manager.

Stuart has worked at Tecserv UK for over ten years and began his career straight from school 6th form as an apprentice fire alarm engineer. Since then he has worked up to be a full time service engineer in the southern region and, having gained 6 years’ experience, he was promoted to senior engineer. Two years later he was promoted to southern supervisor, and has now been promoted to assistant service manager responsible for all the UK.

During this time, Stuart has successfully completed several technical training courses that include IOSH managing safely, NEBOSH Award in Risk Assessments, Fire Industry Association Unit 5:fire alarm system maintenance, the globally recognised International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) training programme and several ongoing fire and security alarm training courses provided by system manufacturers.

In his role as assistant service manager Stuart will be responsible for the day to day running of the department, including dealing with customers, carrying out regular performance reviews with engineers, introducing and implementing a new CRM package for the service department and recruitment of new service staff.

Commenting on his promotion Stuart said, “Working as a service engineer means that I have gained lots of knowledge about the sites that Tecserv protect with fire, intruder, CCTV and access control systems. I also understand the high level of service and support our customers have come to expect and I am technically able to guide our engineers on how to make sure these expectations are met. My technical knowledge of these systems means I am able to assist with any issues customers may face, and offer advice and solutions to ensure these are rectified quickly.”

Stuart’s role will also include carrying out performance reviews with all of our engineers to ensure the systematic audit schedule we have in place with our engineering supervisor confirms that engineers are consistently providing the highest quality service and customer sites are fully compliant.
